ALC Interiors & Generation Construction Bloor Condo Project | Interior Design Photography Mississauga

ALC Interiors along with Generation Construction Ltd. recently teamed up to update and upgrade this Mississauga condo.

The refreshed space now features an open concept kitchen, new flooring running throughout the unit, removal of popcorn ceiling and a fresh new colour pallette.

The new kitchen features plenty of storage, lots of work surfaces, a colourful island, and a beautiful counter and backsplash. The dining space features wood floating shelves, a modern light fixture, and elegant yet contemporary furnishings.

Interior Designer Lisa styled the unit with modern decor pieces, colourful artwork, books and florals and greenery.

The main bath also received an update carrying the blue tones from the main space through with the vanity, mirror border and bathtub surround tilework. A contemporary white hexagonal tile adds a subtle modern twist to the space.

id-One Inc. St. Clair Condo | Interior Design Photography Toronto

id-One Inc. is a Toronto-based design firm. This spring we photographed this upgraded condo unit. While the majority of the work was completed several years ago, it hadn’t yet been photographed. My client had recently been brought back in to update the primary bedroom and thought we should capture the whole project for his portfolio since it had many unique elements and the design still felt timeless and fresh.

In addition to the contemporary kitchen the space features plenty of unique furnishings, textiles and artwork. A custom slat wall partition near the entryway encloses an additional living space.

In the primary bedroom, a stunning reeded headboard flanked with smoky mirrors and pendants adds a focal point to the space. Rich accent colours and custom drapery add to this cozy and contemporary retreat.

We also took some time to capture the previously completed primary bathroom with geometric wallpaper, walnut millwork, and a huge wetroom shower.

Condo projects with customizations are always a treat to photograph as they really do show how any space can be customized to feel like a stand alone property, but with the bonus of a great view!

Elevate your Airbnb Listing with Professional Photography

Airbnb and short-term rentals are a dime a dozen these days. To make your listing stand out, you need to showcase what your property has to offer! Professional photography is key to making your listing shine amongst the competition.

Prepare for your listing for the photoshoot.

Clean and prep your listing so it looks its best:

  • Thoroughly clean your unit including surfaces, floors, and windows. Don’t forget about tidying up outdoor spaces!
  • Remove visual clutter. Tuck away things that don’t need to be in the shots. Items such as paper towels, kleenex boxes, cleaning supplies, and garbage cans are given to be included and tend to distract and just feel like clutter in photos.
  • Tidy up open shelving, and curate what you have on display.
  • Carefully fold towels and consider adding higher-end bath products to give more of a hotel feel.
  •  Ensure linens and bedding are looking their best. This might include steaming bedding, replacing worn pillows and adding in some new throws.
  • Style your space by adding personal touches with decor, throws, cushions, baskets, and fresh elements like florals, plants or produce where it makes sense. This can make the space feel more inviting and livable.

Plan a shot list.

The goal with your listing shoot is to accurately document what you offer and also showcase how your listing differentiates itself from others.

Your shot list should include:

  • A variety of wide shots that show overall spaces.
  • Vignettes and detail shots that showcase unique features or elements of your property and offer an editorial feel.
  • Shots that are wayfinding and show how spaces connect.
  • An exterior shot.
  • Images that inform on unit access and accessibility.
  • Shots of amenities and offerings that you provide such as toiletries, towels, storage, small appliances, cooking utensils or dishes, food and beverages included (such as coffee and tea), or other treats you gift your guests.
  • Showcase your unit or building amenities such as laundry, parking, fitness facilities, pool, hot tub, sauna, outdoor, BBQ access or communal spaces.
  • Highlight the local area and attractions. Conveniences such as transit, local businesses, parks or paths are great to include.

Add a host portrait!

Including a friendly portrait for your account helps guests feel welcomed and that they will be taken care of should they need assistance.
